Get to Know Kimberly

Rooted in Moore County, Invested in the Community.

I have deep roots in Moore County, having lived here since 11 months old. From my early days at Vass-Lakeview Elementary School to my time at Union Pines High School, this community has shaped me. After completing my undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill, I followed my passion for law and earned my law degree from Campbell University.

In 2008, I started my career as a prosecutor by serving as a District Court Prosecutor. I handled all of misdemeanor crimes at the District Court level. I handled hundreds of misdemeanor trials from Driving While Impaired crimes, misdemeanor child abuse, and drug offenses. In 2012, I became a felony drug crimes prosecutor. After having done numerous felony jury trials in State Court, I became a Special Assistant – Federal Prosecutor in the United State’s Attorney’s Office for the Middle District. While serving as a Federal Prosecutor, I prosecuted high level drug traffickers and repeat violent crime offenders. In 2021, I became a dedicated Child Sex Crimes prosecutor. Only the toughest and most experienced prosecutors handle these types of cases.

Engaging with the community is a priority for me, and I actively participate in various activities. I am a member of Grace Church of Southern Pines. I am a member of the Rotary of the Sandhills. I actively support the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills. Additionally, I find joy in being at all the activities and sports events for my two very active children.
